Teaching children to
ride should be fun for both the child and the parent.

Parents
of children Pre-K and up can have a major impact on the future
cycling enjoyment of their children. Parents need to know the
basics of cycling to reinforce the techniques that keep cycling
enjoyable and safe. They also need to provide a good role model
while riding with their children.
This
program is designed as a one-hour classroom module but can be
combined with a brief parking lot program with children on bicycles
to provide hands-on experience for parents.
If your community is planning on sponsoring
a bike rodeo you should schedule one of these programs beforehand.
